MONTHLY RECAP

During September, Madison For More Neighbors continued building relationships with residents, community partners, housing advocates, and City leaders. M4MN participated in the Northside Festival on September 23, connecting with residents and organizations while sharing information about housing advocacy and neighborhood engagement.
Individual interviews were conducted with Alder Derek Fields of District 3, Alder Yannette Figueroa-Cole of District 10, Alder Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford of District 15, and Alder Sean O’Brien of District 16. Each interview was documented and organized into a standardized summary for future reference and follow-up.

Getting to know the alders helps M4MN build trust, understand the needs of different districts, and establish open communication before specific proposals reach the Common Council. These relationships also make it easier to share information, identify opportunities for collaboration, connect with neighborhood leaders, and have more productive conversations about future housing policies.
M4MN would like to continue hosting community conversations in different neighborhoods to hear directly from residents, provide housing-policy education, strengthen local partnerships, and create more opportunities for community participation.
Until next month!
